Off-Campus Access

NCCC students and staff have full access to our databases from off campus. You may be asked to log in using your NCCC username and password. Remember that your username is equivalent to the first part of your NCCC email, without the "" extension.

For example: If Jane Green's NCCC's email address is, her username is "jgreen7371". Her password will match what she uses to log in to NCCC's email and the student portal.

If you encounter any issues using the databases, whether on or off campus, please let us know!

Guidelines for Accessing Online Resources

Who has access?

The amount of access one has to the resources on the library's pages depends on two factors: 1) the type of affiliation one has with North Country Community College and 2) the type of resource.

Affiliation: Students, faculty, and staff are allowed by our licenses to use licensed resources via the library website. Visitors to the campus library may use the licensed resources on campus if they have a community access ID.

Type of resource: Many resources on these pages are made available via a license or contract with a provider or vendor. This includes but is not limited to e-journals, databases, e-books, etc.  Any link that prompts one to log in represents a licensed product.

How the access works

NCCC students, faculty and staff who follow a link to a licensed resource and log in will be passed through our proxy server to the licensed resource. If, during the same session, they link to another licensed resource, they will not have to log in again.
